    Do some online …
Do some online research….there are a few companies that will take people who have just finished school or an AAMT approved distance learning course. However, if you have NO formal training, I don’t have any advice other than see if you can get a couple of years experience locally in an office.

I just attended a siminar in my area for At Home Professions.
I liked everything they had to offer, however after I have been doing
some online reasearch I have seen allot of complaints and reviews about
them one mainly that they arn’t AHDI Creddited (Association for Healthcare
Documentation Integrity – http://www.ahdionline.org (formerly known as the American
Association for Medical Transcription). Also I’ve read that places tend to not hire
a student that just graduated with out any experience, so it’s like a ketch 22.
I also have seen allot of good reviwes about them: They said that they have a career
starter kit and have had a 96% success rate of students getting hired after graduating.
If a student is having problems looking for work and getting hired and running into bumps, they
have specialist that help you prepare and feel more confident with getting work.
One thing everyone has to realize is that it’s like going out and looking for work without having a
college degree.. even when you do pay the big bucks and go to college you still have to do the
same and apply, interview, sell yourself, promote yourself, market you!
For instance I have allot of sales, manager, customer service experience and retail and even
have drove a school bus and mowed the greens on a golf course so I have many talents and can
apply for many styles of jobs but like everyone else I still have to compete against everyone
    applying for the position too.

Has anyone gone though this school and what was the turnout for you? that’s who I’d like to talk
    to :-)
    Thanks
    Sarah

I just wondered if you had tried http://www.findtranscriptionwork.com before? It seems suspicious to find a free site like this, and I just wondered if you or anyone else knew anything about it. There are so many scams out there. I’d appreciate any advice.
