Does any body know any legitimate ways to work from home online?
I need to work from home online. Is there any legitatmite work from home jobs, such as answering phones? Thanks.
There are a couple legitimate ways to work from home online. question is, how much money do you need to be making each month. The reason I ask you this is because home jobs regardless if they're online of offline will only pay you minimum waged earnings. After taxes are taken out, your looking at your take home being below minimum wage. If this is sufficient amount of income, then a home job would be perfect for you. If it's not, then you need to look into home based business opportunties.

I just recently found this site from someone on craigslist.
SFI.
Most say its a scam and things along those lines, but It is working for me. You do not get rich quick off of it by any means neccessary.
I do like it for sure. The best part is the fact that you don't buy a kit or anything. If you complete 8 steps by choosing the path you want to take in the buisness they send you a cool book to teach you how to get your website out in the open.
At least sign up and check it out. I thought it was fake at first too, but I am making a living off of it just working parttime.
I am not one of the spammers coming to spam you just trying to spread the word because I had been looking for a at home job for months till 2 months ago lol.

There are many ways to earn online, but you will find the majority of programs give you very little return unless you recruit others. Most of us are not that good at marketing, or simply don't have the time or cash resources to make it successful.
Social networking is a growing trend online, and several of the newer ones offer a way to earn by participating. Yuwie is one I have investigated, and after 2 months and only getting two referrals, my earnings are 36cents! Not retirement time yet
A few weeks ago I was introduced to the Qyao business network. This is a very plain, unassuming site, based on a solid business model revolving around search engines and other popular online activities, including shopping and auctions.
My acct was credited with $15us, so I could "test the waters". After 3 days I upgraded my acct at a cost of $10 per month. My balance is now $36.03, after 15 days. Not sure how or why yet, but it is growing daily. An extra $2.02 today. This can accumulate to up to $300 daily over time, which is not a bad part-time income! Once you are earning $50/month or better, you are able to withdraw funds from the system. I am looking forward to that….
If you would like to take a look at it, I am contactable via email from my profile.
Good luck!

I know a lot about this topic, I have a lot of good info for you. Many people are looking for work from home companies. All the scams definitely create a big problem but also, there is a problem of people misunderstanding the difference between work from home "jobs" and work from home opportunities. There really is no such thing as a work from home “job”. To get that you have to start working for a company in their offices first, then they MAY allow you to take the job home and that’s only if you have special training such as in Website design, being an Attorney, Bookkeeper and the like.
Most of the work from home opportunities that are legitimate offers are not an hourly pay type job. They are business opportunities that help you in starting your own business from your home.
What you should do first is to decide if you are simply looking for an hourly rate type job or if you are looking for more of an opportunity for additional income such as what you would make in your own business being your own boss from home. Many say a JOB stands for Just Over Broker and I have found that to be true as well. I never got anywhere working for others.
Small home businesses have some small costs involved, less then $100 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $300, $500 even some asking for $1000. It doesn’t cost that much to start and run a home business so you shouldn’t pay it. The real ones will have a small monthly overhead as well. Should be around $50 a month but no more then $75. And everything should be included from your web sites to training and team support to back office accounting and booking. It’s ok to pay this overhead because it’s a business, they cost money. It’s not reasonable to assume you can run a business from home with a website and more for free so do keep that in mind as you search.
If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN don’t walk the other way! They never are. I tried them many a times and 3 weeks later I had to buy this and 6 weeks later that. After 6 months these “free businesses” had cost me over $800 on average.
I’m a stay at home wife and a licensed nurse here in the state of California. I work about 22-28 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. This is a home business, a nationally known and reputable home business which is what you need to make sure you are looking for. I have been with the company almost a year now and I make over $2000 a month! In your first month, depending on how many hours you can work I have seen people make anywhere from $300 to over $2000. And your income will increase each month because we get paid residual income as well. If I continue on as I am going at the end of the year I will be making $5000 a month. My friend Rebecca from Hales Corners, Wisconsin started 2 years before me and she is now making $45,000 a year with her home business; $25,000 of that is residual income.
The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit and a benefits package. In addition, there are no products, no hard selling or pushing, no cold calling, no home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me.
I absolutely love working with them and I can't believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. You have great team support and you get to know the other people on your team pretty well. The support is great but I have made wonderful friends as well. I think that’s important too, especially being at home!
I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, The Consumer Health Alliance and the National Association of Dental Plans which is very impressive. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” “Time Magazine” and the “American Medical Review” and the May issue of Parents Magazine. Even “60 Minutes” with Morley Safer did a big special on this home based business.
Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nation wide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart, Publix and more. These companies would never work with a company that was any thing less then reputable. That made me feel very good about working with them knowing they were accepted at these stores that I frequent. Also now of course being with them I get the dental and vision benefits for free and I saved over $650 on my last visit to have labratory work done. That’s just a beautiful perk! : – )
When I first started I just felt very safe with them, that and my friend was already making so much money with Ameriplan. But at this point I feel a sense of security financially that our family has never had before. That plus LOVING what you do? What could be better?
Check them out! Just type in http://www.Telecommute2008.com in your web browser.

Hello there,
I know what you mean about "needing" to work from home. I resigned from "corporate America" in 2000 because I had a need to find legitimate work from home.
Answering phones is quite common among the variety of work from home positions. To get you started, I've listed a couple of very good, legitimate resource sites that regularly update their job bank databases. Each link specifically lists Customer Service/Call Center jobs where there's plenty of phone answering.
I hope this helps.

The most important thing for me when choosing a company to work with was that it needed to be not only legitimate but also credible, trustworthy and well known on a NATIONAL level. Most companies I came across online didn't fit this mold but fortunately Ameriplan® surpassed it!
Ameriplan® is a member of the US Chamber of Commerce,
The National Associate of Dental Plans and the board of the Consumer Health Alliance. Ameriplan® has been recognized and featured for the unique way they allow people to work from home in national publications like "US News & World Report", "The New York Times", "Wall Street Journal" and "Time Magazine". Even "60 Minutes" with Morley Safer did a big special on our home based company.
Ameriplan® is a 16 year old Industry leader and the Number One National Medical Benefits Company in the United States. Five years ago, Ameriplan® was a 10 million dollar company. Today, it is a 100 million dollar company that is expected to grow to be worth over 1 billion in the next 3-5 years. Ameriplan® has the hottest health benefits package available in the United States today with virtually no competition. The company has literally revolutionized the industry by making a fantastic and affordable dental and medical plan available to everyone no matter their age or their current ongoing medical conditions.
Ameriplan® has over 2 million members on its plan nationwide and it has hundreds of thousands of providers including doctors, specialist, dentists as well has many Fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart, JCPenny's and many, many more so Ameriplan® not only upholds its reputation but also the reputations of the companies it works with!
Personally, I work from home with Ameriplan®. It's a wonderful opportunity for stay at home moms (& dads) or anyone who wants to quit their job and start making great money! It's working out for me and I'm able to work from home while taking care of my 4-month old son!

You could Test Products at home and give your opinion on them back to the company, in some case you even get to keep the product.
http://www.moneymakingguide.co.uk/MMGRecommends/Test_and_Vote.htm
You can do online paid surveys which pay quite well if you join as many sites as possible.
http://www.moneymakingguide.co.uk/free_paid_online_surveys_uk.htm
You could look at writing product reviews and getting paid for that.
All you need to do is give your experience with them and an honest opinion.
The systems work by basically rewarding you for your review, if its a good review and readers like it they give you a grading, the better the grading the more points you get, the more points you get the more you convert to cash.
If you join more than one of these product review companies then you can just copy and paste your reviews between companies and double or triple what you earn.
The good thing is, that you're reviews never get cut off, so you can keep earning from your older reviews as long as they are still relevant.
You're not going to earn a small fortune from this but you could earn a nice little bit extra.
http://www.moneymakingguide.co.uk/paid_consumer_reviews.htm
All you need is access to a PC, and there are no joining fees and therefore no catches. You may have to do a bit of work getting setup as the surveys have to be matched to your profile. These can take about half an hour per company to do. But once set up they come through pretty regularly, and enough to keep you in plenty of work.
There are other site thats you can use such as paid to read sites. I'm a member at Hits 4 Pay
http://www.moneymakingguide.co.uk/MMGRecommends/Hits4Pay.htm
Its free and you get $10 just for sign up, but its a not the quickest turnover in emails etc, so is certainly not a get rich quick scheme, more of a "have it run in the background" type thing and see what comes of it.

The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part – and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build – so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).
http://working-from-home-ireland.blogspot.com/
Time & effort required – but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.
http://my-data-entry.blogspot.com/
I have other ideas that may help – one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself – try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc – they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

The first link is mainly programming, but there are other jobs there as well. You may have more luck with the second.

"If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.
