Are there any legitimate work from home jobs?
I would like to work from home. Are there any work from home business opportunities with no start up costs, that are legitimate?
I am not afraid of work, but financially restricted.

My first question would be do you have any business experience. I ask because just to say I want to run a business is one thing and to actually do it is something else.
You do not need to invest alot you can then check out and research the various types of franchises out there and see which one suits you. Entrepreneur magazine and others of this type should lead you in the right direction. For example there is this one magazine called Success from Home.
Let me recommend what a lot experts have been saying. Get into Network Marketing. The reasons being are:
1- The Training – The good companies work with organization who will help you develop you knowledge in all aspects of your business and you before the product or service. This means time and energy will be invested on developing you and a person and business-owner vs pushing you to move products. Not to say that you shouldn’t be moving products, that’s why you’re in business.
2- Developing a Network – In order to have a strong and prosperous business you need repeat business. These organizations of business owners will help you in the developing strong networks so that your business keeps moving forward.
3- Global Opportunities – No more do you have to limit your self to just you neighborhood with the advent of the Internet you now have access to a global marketplace. The larger companies and organizations can help you in expanding you business into the international arena if the opportunity arises for you.
4- Low Risk – Most companies have a low start-up investment
which means that you can work it on a part-time level until you are making enough to go full-time. So you don’t have to quit your job or quit school. Also the highly reputable ones have a money-back guarantee.
Points -
1- You may of heard for people failing to succeed in this type of business most of it is attributed to some people fail to treat it like a business.
2-A business is a business and you won’t get anything out of it if you don’t put anything in it.
3- As a very wealthy man once told me "You have the ability to do want you want when you want". Be careful of who you take advice from, check to see how they are economically. Are they where you want to be or are they even going in that direction?
So keep up in doing your research and the best is yet to come.
My recommendation is Quixtar. They’re a 6-billion dollar company. I’ve dealt with some of the people before. Lovely people. What I like is that they have a wide variety of products and services to offer so a person is not limited to just one or two things. Also they also seem to be on the cutting edge of product technology.

If you have ever considered joining a top quality company like Pampered Chef or PartyLite, but were concerned that the markets were too saturated, this is a very exciting opportunity for you. Southern Living At HOME launched on January 2, 2001, so we are at the “beginning” of an already great company! With Southern Living we have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor, as well as the support of an established industry leader!
Owned by Time Warner/AOL, we are a new division of the company that publishes Southern Living Magazine, Cooking Light, Health, Coastal Living and the Oxmoor House books. I have had an excellent response to Southern Living At HOME due to the impeccable reputation of the magazine alone!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1.Who is Southern Living at HOME?
Southern Living at HOME, affectionately known as SLAH, was inspired by the pages of Southern Living Magazine owned by Time/Warner Inc. The company debuted in January 2001. We have a varied product line focusing on accessories for your home, kitchen, garden and much more. 70% of our product line is priced between $20-30, which is within reach of the average income. We have even been featured on Live with Regis and Kelly!!! and HGTV.
2.What is the company’s mission statement?
To create a feeling of welcome, comfort and beauty in homes all across America, while fostering the Spirit of Generosity in the lives of our consultants and their families.
3.What is my income potential?
You will earn an immediate 25% profit on all of your party sales. You will earn 2-9% royalties on the sales of anyone you sponsor and the royalties start with just one recruit. Most companies require three to four recruits before you earn any royalties. Most consultants who just do parties earn between $500-$1000/ month. That requires about 20-30 hours of work each month!!!! How easy is that?
4.What kind of training and support is available?
You will receive, with your starter kit, an easy-to-read Business Guide with a fun-to-watch training video. You will always get personal guidance and training from me as your sponsor and coach. There will be company monthly newsletters, toll free number to customer support for consultants only, local and national meetings, and a free website/workstation with daily updates company wide.
5.What is my startup cost?
The starter kit is a low $199 plus tax and shipping. It includes over $500 worth of products, and $300-$400 in business supplies and training materials to get your business started. It is the best value in the entire catalog and can be seen on Pages 80-81 of the catalog. The kit is yours to keep regardless.
6.How do I replace my paperwork?
SLAH has a wonderful program in which 5% of all your party sales will be put into an account for you. This 5% is in addition to your 25% commission and is not taxable income. From this account, you can replace order forms, catalogs, invitations and all the paperwork you need to keep your business running. In essence, your business supplies are free.
7.Am I responsible for the hostess rewards?
NO!!! SLAH covers all of the hostess benefits with no out-of-pocket expense to you.
8.What are the costs for credit card fees?
SLAH also covers the cost of processing all credit card fees. You don’t need a credit card machine either. You will enter the customer’s credit card number right onto the workstation, and the company covers all of the fees. If the customer’s credit card is declined, the company will also take care of that with no penalties to the consultant.
9.Do I need to purchase costly software?
Absolutely not!!!!!!!!!! You just need a computer with internet availability. SLAH provides the software. With all of your work done on the computer, you are free to enter your orders at your leisure.
10. How about travel?
SLAH offers the opportunity to all consultants and a companion to earn two free trips a year to fabulous resorts that are breathtakingly beautiful. The trips are all-expenses paid, and you are treated like royalty. Each year our convention is held at an incredible location; there are numerous, free nation-wide trainings available, as well.
11.What is the company’s Business Philosophy?
We want you to earn an income, and we want you to keep that income!!! We want you to keep family first while doing so. It is that simple.
12. Am I required to keep inventory?
Absolutely Not!!!!!!!!!! We are a non-inventory business. Keeping inventory is discouraged. We have an enormous warehouse in Calera, AL. that stores all of our products. Products are shipped straight to the hostesses’ homes and then she delivers them.
13. Am I required to make deliveries?
No. All hostesses are responsible for delivering their party orders. Most hostesses will either deliver the orders or have a pickup day at their home for their guests to receive their products. The shipping time, once a party has been ordered, is approximately two weeks.
