Are there any legitimate work from home jobs testing video games?

I’m looking for any legitimate work from home jobs such as testing or playing video games, taking calls, typing, etc. I am not looking for any scams, get rich quick schemes, or make $$$ in one hours. Just some real honest work that I can do from home without having to leave my baby because I am a stay at home mother of 3. Just looking for something extra to do with some extra income. I’m open to anything…legal and legit. Thank you in advance!

Why not be a writer for your own blog? That way nobody will scam you and you can earn a little bit of money while having fun.

Game testers usually work at whatever studio develops the game. A girl I know over Xbox Live works as a tester for Microsoft, but she knew someone who worked there, allowing her to get the job.

It’s rather unlikely that you’d be able to work from home for this type of thing, though.

Work from home generally will not pay by the hour because the employer can not watch over the employee to insure they are working. So most work from home requires you to be paid by incentive, which means you produce, you make money.

A few things about work from home- protect your SSN- legit businesses want you to pay your taxes, while illegit want to steal your SSN, if you contact the three main credit agencies you can pretty much protect yourself. Next protect your computer, lots of scammers just want access to your computer so they will insist that you have no firewall and never run anti spy or virus ware, those are the ones you have to avoid. Most legit companies will check your resolve with a fee to cover their time, and materials with you, so expect to pay something thus my next suggestion- get a low value credit card (about $500 is a good number) so that if they are a scam they don’t get you for all that much.

The most important thing I can tell you is this- research. You want to look at the company seriously, history, complaints with the BBB, and investigative TV shows that say its a scam are tell tail signs.

The company I work with has a number of awards- one of which is a Torch Awards from the BBB, its been featured in a number of business magazines over its twenty four year history, and in 2008 the company had nearly a billion dollars in sales.

If you want a company to look at drop me an email and I will forward you the contact information

    Good luck,

Not sure about video games but this might help you, it’s totally free. If you put time into it at the very least you learn a bit about online marketing:
