If these are Internet based jobs you can generally work for companies regardless of where you live. Other opportunities might require that the work be done based from your home, but you still come into an office periodically. To locate these types of jobs you would do a local search based on where you live.

Tjobs.com is another website that employers and employees get together to help each other out. Telecommuting is a form of working from home more people are going to as they do not want to drive into work every day.

2. Other forms of work from home that are more along the lines of doing a job include things such as processing rebates, taking paid surveys, data entry, and so on. Most of these are performance based payments and would not include an hourly rate. There are many legitimate companies willing to pay you to do this, but finding them will be the hardest thing that you do.

3. Start a home business of your own providing a service. The Internet is short on people to do numerous things for other Internet business owners. Possible home businesses you can start providing a service include website design, article writing, blog writing, becoming a virtual assistant, graphic design, and so on.

There are people with more money than time who need someone just like you if you have a talent. They’re willing to pay you very well and you control your own schedule which appeals to many workers.

4. Another thing you can do is sell products on the Internet and earn commissions doing it. Examples of this include selling information products, becoming an affiliate marketer, starting a network marketing business, selling private label rights products, and much more.

In summary these are four work from home ideas that anyone can do based on their own goals and personality. You just need to decide whether you’re looking for a job you can do at home or whether you want to start a business and work from home that way.

At any rate…I am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company that’s been in business for 20 years. I don’t know too much about it but she’s been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know it’s legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, I’ve seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! It’s not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOL
