Has anyone done the work at home jobs typing ads & paid start up fee and actually made money? Are they legit?
Based on what I have seen, there are very few work-at-home schemes that are legit. I would have serious doubts about any job that requires you to pay them first. That sends up red flags in my head. Check out some tips to avoid scammers.

Theres ARE some legit work at home jobs, my friend works from home doing customer service for an office product company. I used to work at home doing website maintenance, etc.
A work at home job "typing ads" probably means you would be in internet spammer/scammer at best. I would do some serious research, including their local Better Business Bureau among other things.

You should never have to pay to work. All the so-called jobs that claim you can make "$100.00 – $300.00 a week typing ads at home" are scams.

If you are an accomplished typist – word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.
Good luck!

it is a lesson to teach you how to do pay-per-click advertising such as google adwords. you type ads based on keywords and put bid on it. every time people do query using specific keyword phrase at the search engines the ads on the right site of the result pages is ranked according the bid. most of the ads are associated with affiliate program. so that lesson teach how to do all that. and believe me it not easy. the competition is fierce. to make the ads you have to put more budget. so i suggest if you don’t like doing researching, tweaking ads all the time to get good conversion rate just don’t go for it. whenever there are someone claim it is easy to make money online in short time don’t ever fall for it. the one who claim that can do that because they have been doing it for years and years. there is no way for beginner to do that. hope that helps. if you need other info related to online biz and some guideline you can go to my site thru my profile.

I did and still am. I thought I got scammed because the site said type ads and earn money… Anyway when I started I didn’t relies you had to type the ad then post it to the internet and only if someone clicked the link and signed up or bought something would I be paid. Anyway, i made like 23 dollars the 1st week so i kept at it and now I am making like 400 a week so it works if you put effort in i guess. http://www.squidoo.com/learntoworkathome/ has information on work at home programs. I use the scam list they have there to check up on programs. Might be worth a look if you want information and a list of good programs.
