Can I rent a space to use for home-based business?

Without going into tons of detail, I have a home-based daycare and birth services business, my house is getting too crowded w/ my husband now working from home, is renting an apartment to use for home business an option, considering all zoning laws, etc, (assuming of course I found a landlord okay with it)??

You would have to find out what the zoning laws are in that city, however, why don’t you rent a commercial piece of property?

Do I need a certain license for a home based Cake/Baking Business?

I want to start a small home based business where I can bake Cakes, cookies, mints, and other sweets to sell. I was wondering if I needing a certain kind of license for a commercial kitchen or for a small home business? Any information would be appreciated! (I’m from Iowa if that makes a difference.) Thanks!

Your home kitchen will have to pass inspection and be approved before you can sell products for consumption. You need to contact your county health department to start the process for approval and licensing. Don’t bother applying for and paying for a city license until you find out if you pass inspection.

I am looking for an honest and reliable home based business. Any ideas?

I answered an ad on the internet the other day about a home based business come to find out it was herbal-life and they wanted me to pay $400 for some kit. If you are looking for more money in a business what makes them think that you have that kind of money to spend? So my question is who knows of a legit home business that I can do for a minimum start up fee?

There are various ways you can make money from home. In most cases, however, you will probably need to invest some cash. I cannot think of many businesses that you can start without spending something to get up and going.

However, as someone else said, there are many scams. Be very careful. It if sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I have a couple of suggestons. First, join the Work at Home Forum (free). Read the posts there, You will find a lot of information about working from home, business opportunities that are worthwhile, etc. Ask questions and other members will respond with their advice and experiences.

Secondly, if you are interested in selling products on the Internet as an affiliate, you might want to get the free report available at the other link below. The report was written by an Internet marketer to give to his friend. It outlines a 22 step plan for making money online. You will not need to spend anything to get started.

I am looking for the best home based business ideas. Does anybody know?

I am looking for the best home based business ideas. Does anybody know?
Is thier actually a good bisiness out there that is not some over hyped scheme.
I do have a great product but I am trying to figure out how to get the traffic to
make my work at home business successful.

You determine what you do well that people need or want and are willing to pay for and start your own business. All the ones on the web are people who found a way to convince you to send them your money and you get nothing unless you can do the same to others.

People interested in a home based business?

I recently started a home based business promoting a healthy energy drink. I am having a lot of fun and really enjoy the business. It’s free to join and you get a website along with markting materials and training. I have a lot of people who have goten involved to. I am looking to expand. Does anyone know the best place to find people that would be interested in having their own home business? What about people that have experience with this being interested? I appreciate your help.

Congrats on your passion for your business venture. The best way to attract people to your business is through target marketing techniques. I would be happy to share more about this topic if you would like. I personally enjoy using the techniques taught through the Renegade System found at http://www.renegademlmtools.com

I am starting a home based business as well as i am a full time employee in London, how much tax do i pay?

My questions are;
1. Even though i pay tax on my full time job do i still have to pay more tax on my home business?
2. If yes, how much tax do i need to pay if i earn 300£ p/w?
3. Are there any other taxes i need to pay for being self employed and working home based?
I need to assess the financial situation before i jump into it. Please help. Thanks.

Thre are a lot of wild guesses here.
You will pay tax on the profits from your business as well as class 2 NIC’s (about £2.50 pm). If your earnings from your main job are over about £42k, the tax wil be charged at 40%, below that, tax is at 20%.
It is really unlikely that you would be liable to business rates, assuming you are just using one room.

How can I find a home based business that isn’t a rip off?

I am looking for a home based business that I can do from my computer at home without a large investment. With all the financial freedom ads on the internet, how do you know that they are on the up and up? Is there a reliable source that list the real ones?

There are tons of home based business opportunities out there. I know a lot of different people who have one for many years. Some of them primarily work from their computers, some of them work off line as well, and some work with both. I think with a business you need to have a computer for different reasons.
There are many ways to distinguish if a business is are on the up and up. 1. How long they have been in business. If it’s like 10 years or more, then you know that they have been around for a while and follow the rules and regulations. Companies don’t make it if they are not on the up and up. 2. Are they registered with the BBB? If they’re registered with the BBB then you know they are legit. But that’s all the BBB is good for. Everything else is bogus to look at. (there is an article that I suggest you read on just what the BBB is about). 3. Have they made the inc 500 listing? 4. do they have a physical address? Not just a P.O. Box. 5. Is there someone you can contact personally? Many other things you can look into to see if a business is on the up and up.
The only "real" reliable source is talking to people who are involved in the business in that industry now and working their business today.

Where can i find a good home based business to earn some extra income?

Where can i find a good home based business to earn some extra income? Without and start up costs or fees.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies.

You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job.

These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as "work at home" because they would hear from too many unqualified people,
